Chiropractic Care

How it works

When a joint stops moving the way it should, the structures around it take up the slack. Muscles work harder to stabilise, movement patterns change, and over time that compensation is what you feel as stiffness, ache or restriction.

An adjustment is a controlled, targeted input to that joint, intended to improve how it moves. The technique is matched to your presentation rather than applied the same way to everyone. Where a forceful adjustment is not appropriate, gentler mobilisation and our flexion distraction table are used instead.

Questions

About Chiropractic Care

Most people feel little to no discomfort. Some experience mild soreness for a day or so afterwards, similar to how muscles feel after training. If a forceful technique is not appropriate for you, gentler options are available and will be discussed first.

No. How many appointments you need depends on what the assessment finds and how long the issue has been there. That gets discussed with you after the examination, and any ongoing care is agreed before it begins.

Chiropractic care is widely used for musculoskeletal presentations and all our practitioners are AHPRA registered. Your history and examination are used to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you, and where it is not, you will be told.

Also available

Often used alongside this.

Dry Needling

Fine needles into trigger points within tight or overactive muscle to release tension and reduce referred pain. Works well alongside hands-on treatment.

Myofascial Cupping

Suction applied to skin and underlying tissue to release muscular tension, support circulation and assist recovery, particularly for physically demanding work.

Rehabilitation & Recovery

Structured, individual exercise programs that rebuild strength and stability, so the problem is less likely to return once the pain has settled.
